Hilton Head, SC – August 31, 2017 – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, Arrhythmia Alliance and the City of Hardeeville hosted their first annual Fun Run for a Cause 5K and 1 mile Race. The purpose of this event was to raise funds for new automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in The City of Hardeeville’s police vehicles.

His watch had revealed an abnormally high pulse and he called an ambulance. Doctors were said to have told him that he might have died if he had gone straight home. This is a good news story, but medical specialists fear that it may create a misleading impression about the accuracy of personal pulse checkers in hand-held monitors and smartphones.
