NHS accelerator launches international search for innovations supporting the prevention and early intervention of cancer and cardiovascular disease

A NEW search for the world’s best healthcare innovations to help improve patients’ lives launches today, focussing on key NHS priorities including the prevention and early intervention of cancer and cardiovascular disease (CVD).

The NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) - a national accelerator supporting uptake and spread of high-impact innovations across England’s NHS - is seeking tried and tested innovations that, 1) ensure earlier diagnosis and treatment for cancer and/or CVD, or 2) support people to adopt healthy behaviours linked to the prevention of these conditions. One of three themes launched as part of its annual call, the NIA is also recruiting for primary care innovations which strengthen access to high quality care outside of hospital, and innovations to support people experiencing mental health problems.
