Launch your AED
"Well done! You've raised money to buy your AED. Now it's important for people in your community to know where it is in case of an emergency. So the bigger your launch, the better!"
- Fabrice
Checklist
Your launch event is the best opportunity to make people aware of the new AED in your community. You should consider:
- Contacting us if you would like a member of the Arrhythmia Alliance to attend the launch
- Spread the word in your local community with a poster of your launch
- Register your defibrillator on the national AED Locator map
Gain media interest
One of the most effective ways to spread the message about your new AED is by getting it mentioned in the local media.
We can provide a press release for you to send to your local radio station, TV news channel or newspaper. Remember to send press releases to journalists a few weeks in advance to the launch. Request a press release by email.
Feature on the website
Do you want to feature on the Defibs Save Lives website?
Send us photos of your fundraising event or AED launch, which will appear in our gallery to highlight your efforts in helping to tackle the UK's biggest killer.
Why not write a mini blog about your fundraising event too? Send us your photos and blog, and we will notify you when they are published on the website.
