Following demand from patients, carers and healthcare professionals, Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) - Australia was registered in February 2013.
Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) - Australia is a health promotion charity working to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias.
The aims of the charity are to promote:
- Awareness of causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatments
- Better understanding and education
- Improved diagnosis, treatment and quality of life
- Multi-centre and multi-disciplinary assessment
We are a health promotion charity, with a vital mission to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias. We work in partnership, to reduce deaths and impact on individuals caused by cardiac arrhythmias and their associated morbidities. For those diagnosed with an arrhythmia and managing the condition with medication or an implantable device, we work to ensure continued education, support and improvement for their physical and mental wellbeing.
The board members of the charity are Dr Gerald Kaye, Mrs Trudie Lobban MBE FRCP Edin and Dr Stuart Thomas. Read more about the board members here.
