Healthcare Pioneers 2017

Submit your own example of best practice today to help improve care standards for AFib patients around the world.

The AF Association Healthcare Pioneers Report identifies best practice in the identification, diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) and is used as a benchmark to improve services and care for the patients with AFib.

Please submit your case studies* to b.helps@heartrhythmalliance.org to feature in our next Healthcare Pioneers Report, the Heart of AF website and the AF Association and Arrhythmia Alliance websites and e-bulletin. 

*Formatting Guidelines

  • Case Study Title – UPPER CASE letters only (max 250 characters)
  • Case Study text - mixed case letters (max 400 words). Please note: Text within images will be included in the total word count
  • An image must be submitted to sit alongside you case
  • Please structure your case study with a brief introduction, brief outline of service, care pathway, and/or treatment. Results and conclusions to include implications for patient / service benefits

All entries will be reviewed by an AFib expert judging committee established from the AF Association Medial Advisory Committee & Arrhythmia Alliance Executive Committee.  The judging committee, chaired by Prof. AJ Camm, will select case studies that identify best practice in delivering care for AFib patients from identification, diagnosis through to treatment – perfecting the patient care pathway.

Deadline Friday, August 4th, 2017 

Winners will be announced at the Arrhythmia Alliance Awards at Heart Rhythm Congress (HRC) taking place from October 1-4 at The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham UK.
