About AF Association
Atrial Fibrillation Association (AF-A) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which focuses on raising awareness of atrial fibrillation (AFib) by providing information and support materials for patients and medical professionals involved in detecting, diagnosing and managing atrial fibrillation.
AF Association works closely with medical professionals, patients, caregivers, patient support group members and allied groups.
All information resources published by AF Association have been approved by an AFib medical panel. The booklets currently available include titles on: Cardioversion of AFib, Drug Treatments for AFib, Blood Thinning for AFib, two Checklists and an AFib Patient Information booklet.
AF Association is fortunate to have Prof. A John Camm as President and Co-Founder. Dr. Peter Spector MD, Dr. Hugh Calkins MC, and Dr. Kalyanam Shivkumar MD sit on the AF Association Medical Advisory Committee.
Mrs. Trudie Lobban MBE is the Co-Founder and Director.

Therefore, AF-A aims to:
- To provide support and information on atrial fibrillation to those affected by this condition
- To advance the education of the medical profession and the general public on the subject of atrial fibrillation
- To promote research into the management of atrial fibrillation
