Virtua recognized for excellence in treatment of abnormal heart rhythm

Virtua Memorial has been honored for its work with patients with atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat that can cause poor blood flow, stroke or other complications. The hospital on Madison Avenue received the Get With the Guidelines AFIB Bronze Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures for atrial fibrillation patients set by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology/Heart Rhythm Society, according to a statement.
