Our aim is to give Electrophysiologists and Arrhythmia specialists an update and succinct review of all the important developments/changes in this arena over the past year. The programme is dedicated to highlight guideline changes and important studies that will impact daily practice as well as an opportunity to look ahead to new developments on the horizon. We aim to road map all the information to the relevant conferences and hence provide a comprehensive update.

Novel Perspectives in Genetics, Mapping and Ablation of Human VF and AF
Over the past 10 years, there has been significant research and technological progress toward better understanding of pathophysiology, genomic and treatment of the sudden arrhythmic death syndromes (SADS) or Sudden Unexplained Death Syndrome (SUDS) including Brugada syndrome, early repolarization sydrome and idiopathic ventricular fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation, however, continues to be a major challenge for electrophysiologists especially after STAR AF2 clinical trial, confusion was rampant regarding the best catheter ablation approach for treating persistent atrial fibrillation.
