A-A is a coalition of charities, patient groups, patients, carers, medical groups and allied professionals. Although these groups remain independent, they work together under the A-A umbrella to promote timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias.

Patient Interview

“Life is not over, it’s just a different way of living.” -Patricia- What better way to learn then from a patient. Today we share with you Patricia speaking about CPVT. Patricia’s interview took place at a patient day hosted by Arrhythmia Alliance. This is in real time, no edits - just words from a patient. Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is a condition characterized by an abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia). As the heart rate increases in response to physical activity or emotional stress, it can trigger an abnormally fast and irregular heartbeat called ventricular tachycardia. Episodes of ventricular tachycardia can cause light-headedness, dizziness, and fainting (syncope).
